Remlinger Farms

So..... it's June, the skies aren't showing it that's for sure!
But the good news is, minus the sun for some reason the raspberries are ripe!

Off we went for an adventure
I took my girlfriend Kirstin and three teenagers
Notice how there are no pictures of them?
Off they went on their own to pic and eat along the way, we could hear giggles throughout the rows of berries and when we ask how their picking was going they responded saying the berries were delicious!   Teenagers!!!!

How cute is this heart shaped raspberry!

Kirstin out picked me.....
Not sure how she did it, but she did!
Time for some baking to begin

Floral Statements

Well here's a new technique I tried.  Not sure what it is called,
but it looks amazing.

Start with a regular sized card 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" and stamp your image in black right in the center.
Then on another piece of cardstock cut at 3 1/4" x 2 1/4" stamp the same image again and layer it on top of the original stamping with dimensionals to give it that 3D effect.

Now with any colors you choose color in your flowers but only on the top piece of cardstock.  Pretty cool looking huh?

I used Petal Pink ink and Pistachio Pudding

On this one I used Coastal Cabana and Old Olive Ink

You can use any stamps you have to create this technique.
Give it a try!

Paper Pumpkin June 2018

The new Paper Pumpkin is out...
What are your thoughts?  It's not receiving the best reviews.
What do you think of the colors?  The design?

As usual, I changed it up just a bit.
Tried to use only what is in the kit this time.

This one got a Kate Spade inspired lift
I used our Stampin Write makers to lightly color in the flower petals.

This card I didn't change too much, just kept out the sparky gold words.  You can follow the video I posted to the tee or try and get creative to make what you like.

These small cards were made by using the banners that are to be placed on the front of the cards for layering.
Just fold them in half and add the balloon and cake
And there you have it!
Get a little creative this weekend doing something that make you happy!

Rooted in Nature returns!

Well here is a new color twist!
I know I said I wasn't going to post any more of the Rooted in Nature stamp set, but here we are again, with another one!
But how pretty is the color pairing?
I used Night of Navy and Old Olive.  I stamped the images and them stamped again to get a lighter tone.

I restamped the leaves so that I could add them to the top of the card with dimensionals

This really is the most beautiful and versatile stamp set
Love to see the samples you come up with!

Few more days and our big garage sale begins- lots of good prices

Creative Class

Yesterday was Creative Class
and we sure were busy making all the 3D projects
The plates here I purchased at IKEA
You can use any cards or images for your plate
I used this adorable tissue paper as my background of the plate
To attach your images to your plates use Modge Podge.

Once you get your tissue on the back and it is all covered.
The next step is to use acrylic paint (it can be the craft kind)
choose a color to paint the back of the plate.
I used white with this one.

With this plate I used wrapping paper for the background, you can use any type paper.  Just know that if you use say, scrapbook paper, the thicker the paper you choose the harder it is to adhere to the plate.  Still doable, but will be more of a challenge to work with.
Other ideas for background paper that I have used:
Napkins, tissue paper, wrapping paper, mulberry paper, scrapbooking paper. any lightweight paper.
For the images you design in the center you can use any paper image, words, photos you name it.
I have used the project life cards and some words.  You can also
cut out and collage more if you like

We also made these cute succulent cards
I found those adorable succulent memo books at the
Dollar Tree.  I always have a "parting gift" when you leave class.
This was the gift yesterday

We also made these summer signs
visit my post HERE on how to make them
