Valentine- Fancy Favor box

Today's project is a cute little Valentine box made with the Fancy Favor Big shot die.

Ingredients:

Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, New DSP Twitterpatted

Ink: Basic Black

Stamp Sets: PS I Love you and Take it to Heart

Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Heart Framelit Die, Designer Rosette Die

The handle is 1' wide where the Cherry Cobler is and then I added the Scallop Trim Border to the edges.

I hand cut the little banner with the saying on it.

Sweetheart Valentine

I made these cute little Valentines for the girls, I found the Sweetheart chapstick at the Dollar Tree, now I hesitate saying this as many of you are not findings the things I post, but really I did just find these there! I promise!

Anyways, I have used the new Framelits Die which I love and think are so easy to use!

Cute Cute Cute Valentine cookie or candy treat bags and sooo easy to make! If you have not seen the new Occassions Mini Catalog then you are missing out. The beautiful doilies are made by using the new Sizzlits Large Paper Doily. The one in the center I used vellum paper and the outer two I used whisper white cardstock. Valentine Nail Files

Found these cute Valentine nail files at Target in the dollar area, you get 6.

I used the new Framelit Heart Die that is in the Occassions Mini catalog. It is a great tool as you can place the hearts anywhere on your card to cut it out. It is used in conjunction with the Big Shot. I cut the hearts on the fold so that I could easily fold them over the cello bag and decorate them.

It's a regular sized card and the color of cardstock used is basic black, brushed mestallic silver, whisper white and the glitter silver paper.

What a fun time we had yesterday catching up with friends! We make plans ever year to get together for lunch and exchange gifts, play games and just visit. Most everyone lives and hour or more away anymore so we rarely get together. The kids have all known each other since birth so they just get a kick out of the pictures we have taken year after year of them. They are all getting so big!

We were at the Ronald McDonald house this week stamping with the families for a wonderful night with them. After, our group of Stampin Up! demonstrator's had a Christmas exchange and swap. Decking the Halls, Walls and All!

Boy am I slow in getting into the holiday this year. Is anyone else feeling like the days are passing quicker than you can blink an eye?!
I was able to get a few things out and decorate that last week, here are just a few little things that I have been putting out. I love this advent calendar above, the girls love to check it everyday to see if there is a treat awaiting them. You know how much I love vintagy things, it has that vibe to it as well as this little cute snowman.

My girlfriend gave me this neat basket/vase holder so I put it to good use by putting some Christmas foliage in it and a cute little white winter bird. I used quite a few birds throughout my decor this year.

This is a tray my Husband bought me last year and a cute pairs of resin skates.

I used a candle holder and filled it up with the vintage Christms vintage Shiney Bright ornaments.

Orange Cloves Decor and The Bellevue Botanical Gardens

I love making these orange and cloves for Christmas decor, not to mention the

yummy smell it makes throughout the house. When I was little my Mom used to sit us down with oranges and cloves and we would decorate them to our hearts content. We then wrapped them in a light tulle and tied them with ribbon to give to neighbors and family. I love the smell!

Last night we went to visit our local beautiful Christmas lights at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. They just keep getting better and better every year. If you are local these lights are a must and this week it is free to get in Dec. 12th, 13th and 14th. HERE is the link for information on location and hours of operation. It is stunning!

Owl Punch Reindeer Candy Bar

Hi all! Phew I tell you I have barely been able to create, tis the season! But here is a cute little reindeer I found at Sara's stampinspot.

I thought it would be fun to add to a candy bar. I have a Kids' stamp class today and they will be making these.

Elf Candy Cane

Hello Stampers! I have had many emails asking me how to make the Elf on a Candy Cane so here is the repost from a few years back. You can now order the instructions on how to make him at the right side bar above the Santa Candy Cane instructions. The picture below is what little elfie looks like packaged. You will recieve the instructions and a visual picture of the pieces you need to make him. The candy canes are the very large 12'inch ones that you can find at the Dollar Tree that sell for 2 for a $1.00. What a deal! The instructions are $5.00

Top Note Snowman Treat

Tis the season to get away from me! Gosh I have baring been crafting Ladies! This little treat box is made with the Big Shot Top Note die. You punch it out and score on each side in at 2 1/2 and fold in half. Then decorate!

I have used Pretty In Pink cardstock, Bashful Blue and the Glitter Paper. The circles punches make up the snowman sizes are 1 3/8', 1 1/4 and 1' stack them on top of each other. I used the large snowflake punch in Chocolate Chip cardstock for the arms. The carrot nose is cut freehand, and Stampin Write marker for the eyes in basic black. Pretty In Pink

Inside it holds three Hershey's Chocolate nuggets just perfectly. Cut your Designer Series Paper 1' x 3' to wrap around the candy.

Little Elf

Isn't he the cutest little thing you've ever seen!

The originator of Santa's little helper is Nancy Ferb, I saw him and just giggled and knew I had to make one.

This card is just a regular sized card. The cardstock is Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Blushing Bride, Brushed Silver, Designer Series Basic Gray and Whisper White.

I used the Snowflake embossing folder for the background and Glimmer brads for his nose and pom pom on hat.

Here are the pieces you need to make the elf

The hat is the Ornament Punch upside down

The face is the Large Oval Punch

The ears are two petals from the 5 -Petal Punch

His body is half of the Decorative Label Punch

Cheeks are brushed on with Stampin Pastels (pretty in pink)

Decorating with Epson Salt

So look what you can do with Epson salts! I took mason jars and poured Espon Salts into them to make it look like snow!

Then......in the pictures towards the bottom of post I took a candle and brushed Modge Podge around the candle then rolled it into the Espon Salts and it looks very glittery. I haven't decorated the candle anymore than the the Epson Salts and look how beautiful it looks! The picture below is what the mason jar looks like up close with the "snow" in it.

Now run to Target and get some Epson Salts! (or your cupboards!)

Here I just put the epson salts into a plastic container. Brush on the modge podge with a sponge brush and roll the candle right into the salts. Let dry. Below is how it looks dried. I haven't even decorated it yet! So pretty!

70th Celebration

It's been a full weekend of Thanksgiving and celebrations! Not much time for creating, except memories. The most important kind. We celebrated my Dad's 70th birthday at a local Winery. It turned out to be an incrediable evening.

We had local wine, yummy catered food and my Daughter Shelby sang the song "Landslide" to all the guests during my Dad's slideshow presentation. The picture above is our immediate family.

Beau Chateau Christmas Ornaments

Here are the Beau Chateau Ornaments that I promised to show you. Aren't they just show stoppers!
You are going to follow the same directions as the Vintage Newsprint Ornaments, I will post below for you.
If you don't have the Beau Chateau DSP paper then you can always you the Beau Chateau Fabric! Yes!
this works with the Modge Podge great too. I added our Stampin Up Exclusive ribbons to decorate them with and the Beau Chateau Side Notes to adorn them and the Pearls. Try to keep the images as close to what the paper looks like when you are teraring you pieces to attach to the glass balls.

Instructions

Take your DSP Newsprint and tear small pieces and set aside. Put 2 TBLS of modge podge in a bowl and add a teaspoon of water to dilute it. Take the pieces of DSP and drop into the bowl let sit for 2 minutes to let the paper soften. Take your ornaments and remove the cover at the top where you hang it and set aside. Your paper should now be soften start covering the ornaments with the pieces of DSP til it is totally covered. Take the Mica Snowflakes and cover the ornaments with them and let dry. I set the ornaments on top of a drinking glass to dry. To decorate choose matching ribbons, I used the Pretty In Pink Satin Ribbon, Chatilly Lace, and Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon and silver cording. Then add your Beau Chateau Side Notes or Rossettes and Pearls. Drop me a comment and let me know what you think, I love to get feedback! xoxo

Vintage Christmas Ornaments

Good Morning everyone! wow did the week go by fast! I made these vintage Christmas ornaments in a snap! The information on how to make them are below with the rest of the pictures. Hope you have fun trying them. I have more to post too where I used the Beau Chateau DSP, they are to die for!

Here what you will need.

Cardstock: DSP Newsprint, Very Vanilla

Ink: Soft Suede, Basic Black

Stamp Set: Hand -Penned Holidays Wood # 124310 Clear # 124312

Accessories: Mica Snjowflakes # 124115,, Silver glitter 114286, Natural Hemp Twine #100982

Sponge Daubers #102892, Glass Ornaments and Modge Podge, sponge brush

Take your DSP Newsprint and tear small pieces and set aside. Put 2 TBLS of modge podge in a bowl and add a teaspoon of water to dilute it. Take the pieces of DSP and drop into the bowl let sit for 2 minutes to let the paper soften. Take your ornaments and remove the cover at the top where you hang it and set aside. Your paper should now be soften start covering the ornaments with the pieces of DSP til it is totally covered. Take the Mica Snowflakes and cover the ornaments with them and let dry. I set the ornaments on top of a drinking glass to dry. Take the tops of the ornaments and take some Modge Podge and brush it on the top of the holder, now add the silver glitter and let dry. When the ornament and the top of the ornament is dry put back together.

Tie a piece of 2 1/2' Nautral Hemp Twine to hand your ornament.

Now on to the tag, cut a piece of 3 1/2 ' Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp the Merry Christmas stamp in Soft Suede, now cut the end like a pennant. Take the sponge dauber and shade the edges. Tie a piece of the Natural Hemp Twine to the other end. Using glue dots attach the tags to the ornaments. I kinda of made them so they are wavy on the glass ball. There you have it! Aren't they beautiful!

Gobble Gobble!

Good morning! I have kids camps this week and this is one of the projects they will be making. These are circulating all over the web with the likes of witche's feet and turkey gobblers. Here's my version.

Here what you need to make one:

1 3/4 cicle punch for head

(2) 1 3/4 Scallop Circle punch for body and feathers

5 -Petal Flower punch for the beak (just cut one petal o & ff)

Any small flower punch for the feet.

The gobbler under his beak is made by using the Scallop Edge Border punch

Googlie eye, M & M's , and the Cellophane bags for legs.

Dimensions for the back feather are as follows: 2 1/2 by 12 scored by using the score pad @ 1/2' all the way across the paper. Attached to the back with glue dots. Have fun making these! xoxo

Holiday weekend

It was a great weekend! Locally we are so lucky to have Molbak's florist and nursery. Every year they have a poinsettia's

festival where they have hundreds of varieties of poinsettias. They also have lots of holiday home decor and themed Christmas trees. It is so beautiful! Here are a few pics of some of the things that caught my eye, oh and my family too!.

O Christmas Tree

O Christmas tree card
Cardstock: Old Olive, Very Vanilla, DSP Newsprint, Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobler
Stamp Set: Merry And Type
Accessries: Vintage Wallpaper, Rhinestones
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Instructions:
Cut your Old Olive cardstock at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. Put your paper through the Vintage Wallpaper
embossing folder. Take the "25" stamp from the Merry and Type stamp set, use your stampin markers in cherry cobbler and old olive and stamp on very vanilla cardstock, punch out with oval punch. Add your rhinestones. Take the Newsprint DSP and cut a piece at 1/2 and accordian fold. Cut two pieces sized at 1 1/2 inch and attach to the back of the oval. Now attach to the front of the card.

Now for the inside. Go back to your Newsprint DSP and cut two pieces 1/2 x 12. Score with the

score board at 1/2 all the way. Cut your first piece at 6 inches and glue to the inside of the card with

the tombow glue. Now add the next piece cut at 5' attach, now 4 ' and attach and the last 3' inches.

Stamp a star at the top and add a piece of chocolate chip piece of paper at the bottom for the trunk.

Wow! it's already November, unbelievable how time is a flying! Today's card is a quick and easy Thanksgiving card you can use for your stamp camps or workshops.

Chocolate Chip cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 11 1/2 folded over to create your card

Basic Black cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 2

Delightful Daffodil cardstock punched with a 1 1/4 square punch first then cut out square,

or if you have another 2' square punch out it out.

Whisper White cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 6 1/4, folder over and use your scallop square punch to create scallops.

Use Black Grosgrain ribbon tied in a bow at the top of the shirt.

Easy Breezy! Have fun!

Halloween fun

Had a fun creepy dinner with Grandma and Grandpa tonight, here's one of the dishes we served! It was soooo GROSS!

It's suppose to be brain and chopped up heart pieces. How do you make this you ask? It is a head of cauliflower lightly steamed and two cans of whole beets chopped up, make sure and keep the beet juice in the can so that you can pour over the cauliflower for creepiness! Hope you had a fun and spooky Halloween!

Doillie Decorated Pumpkin

Good Morning! I haven't had much time for stamping the last few days, spending time getting ready for Halloween! I thought I would post a fun pumpkin decor project you can try. It just requires a pumpkin, (you could use a white pumpkin as well). Take a doillie and cut around the top of it so that it fits over your pumpkin, now take black spray paint OR you can use a sponge brush and black acrylic paint, and paint the lace design around the pumpkin! Isn't this just a beauty! Halloween is almost here! hope you all are having a fun weekend with family time, parties or just eating a bunch of chocolate! (yes, I'm guilty!)

Getting some last minute treats made for school and family Halloween party this weekend. I found these Test Tube candy at the Dollar Tree. You get 12 in the package! great dealio I think! They are filled with the pixi stick type powder. Anywho, I used the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set and those lovely scary spiders I got a few weeks back. I had to use them up, I think there were a 100 in the package! I love how creepy they look! too real actually. Have a fun weekend preparing for Halloween or any parties you may be attending and be safe! Muahaaaaaaaaa!

We carved our pumpkins the other night, and now the seeds are all dried out and ready to bake. Are you looking for a yumo recipe? Well look no further!

Pumpkin Seed Recipe

2 c of pumpkin seeds

2 TBLS of olive oil

1/4 t of sea salt

1/2 t worchesire

Toss pumpkin seeds in bowl with all ingredients. Put on baking sheet and bake @ 300 degreees for 1 hour. Enjoy!

Yep, you read that right! Aren't these just the cutest! I saw these out there in blogland and thought I would give them a try. I used My Design Studio to make the words, but you can easily make them on Mircosoft Word. I used a heavy white cardstock measured at 4 x 4 to fit the cello bags. Inside the bags are Pretzel sticks for the spider legs, red hots for rat eyeballs and mini marshmellows for the ghost poop. I purhcased some plastic spiders and used the spider web stamp from the Stampin Up! "Wiicked Cool" set and stamp it in the corner of the header. How cute and easy are these! I think I made about 50 to take for the Teacher's for Halloween.

Okay, so I am such a jokester that I had to do this to my poor family.   I have freaked out everyone all day long! It is not a suprise that I love Halloween, and with that said I was at the Dollar Tree this morning and found this vinyl cling for your toilet!
Yes, I know, like you all want to look at my commode, but I tell you this looks sooooo real!   As you can see! the cling goes right on TOP of the lid, but sure looks like it is open with creepy crawlers coming right out of the toilet! I also added some little
spiders that come with it to the sides.   I'm tellin you, the best dollar ever spent! I am lovin' it!   Muaaaahhhhhh!

So I was cleaning closets and found this very old sage green cone that held some potpouri. I threw it aside for trash looked back at it and realized it looked like a witches hat! I went to town with some black spray paint, and started decorating it. Here's what I came up with.......

Good Morning! I'm getting ready for some upcoming kids stamp classes and was trying to think of a fun idea for them to make. I got out some metal boxes I have had laying around and decided they are going to make some Halloween Pick Your Poison Magnets. Here's what I did, easy as pie ladies1 Take your Pick Your Poison DPS and stamp your images onto the paper and cut out. Now take magnetic sheets that have self adhesive backing and stick the images right onto the sheets. Measure the inside of your box and add some Pick Your Poison DSP paper inside. I made a belly band to fit the outside of the box. The magnets stick nicely right into the box and stay in place so you can see them.

Good Morning Stampers! How cute is this new Many Mustaches set? Here is a fun idea for your little treaters for Halloween or even the classroom. Party idea? you get it... Here's what I did with it....

Go get a bag of Dum Dums (super cheap and you get a ton!)
Stamp the mustaches on whisher white cardstock, punch a 1/8' hole punch in the center and slide onto the candy. There you have it....
and here's my daughter modeling it for you! too cute huh?

Candy Corn Petal Cone Treat Box

Good Morning Stampers! Looking for a cute little Halloween treat box to make? I saw this idea on a website and thought I would try it with our Petal Cone die and it works great! All you need to do is punch out the die in whisper white, fold all up and
put together except for the bottom. Now take your double sided Sticky Strip and start at the bottom and do 3 rows of strip all the way around the cone. Now add the SU! Orange glitter. Now move the the next layer and do 2 strips of adhesive and add the Gold SU! glitter. I topped it off with a scallop tag and stamp from the Spooky Bingo Bits set and added a Basic Rhinestone.

Ingredients:

Cardstock: Whisper White Creamy Caramel, Pumpkin Pie

Ekk! burlap picture

Good Morning stampers! Here's a fun and easy Halloween decoration for you to make.... I picked up the frame at the Dollar Tree and some burlpa from the fabric store and the mini spiders...

Here's how you get started.... take out your Big Shot and the Serif Essentials alphabet die. I have used the word Ekk, so go ahead and punch out your letters. Take the reverse image and put on top of the burlap. Starting with some black arcylic paint and a sponge brush and use the letter as a stencil. Paint out your words and let dry.

Next, take out a sharpie and draw the spider web in the corner. Add your mini spiders with the Tombow ahesive glue.

Take out the new Dazzling Details glitter glue and add to the web. Now to spooky it up a bit I took the Silver Foil Smooch Spritz and sprayed it all over the burlap. If you need a bit more help, there is a video tutorial to purchase below for $3.99

My Niece is turning 21 this wednesday so I had to pass on an ole' cliche' my Mom used to say to us girls once we all turned 21, there are 5 daughter's in my family. Her saying when turning 21 was:: " don't see too many Pink Elephants!" meaning of course, don't drink too much! My Mom has been gone 16 years now and I miss her daily, but love to keep her spirit alive by doing all those fun little things she did for us.

Back with some more Halloween fun today! I found these anti bacterials at the Dollar Tree. What I liked is that one is purple and the other is green, perfect for Halloween! Here's what the package looked like below before I got my craft on.

I used the Pick your Poison Designer Series Paper to decorate this set of spooky Halloween images.

Up close, doesn't the spider look real! The front label of the anti backterial soap just peels right off. I traced the origninal size onto the DSP paper then stamped all my images and glued them to the front , added some pumpkin pie ribbon. I also decorated the orginal box.

On this one I made it more cutesy, not so scary.

The first is a basic card and the second one is an envelope that I have folded over, when you open it inside is has these cute little Halloween bandaids that I found in a dollar bin! Thought it would be fun for them to make. Below you can see once you open it how the bandaids fit just perfectly inside the side of the envelope. And it wouldn't be complete without Boo Boo on the side! Below gives you the products and information you need to made these two projects. Muahaaaaaa!

The envelope front is made just the same but the envelope is a basic envelope that you will fold in half, open and at the top of the envelope cut the fold over part of the envelope down the center. Vintage Hat Box

Good friday morning all! Here is the hat I promised you yesterday. I did a vintage take on mine just cause you all know how much I love vintage! The picture below is a shot from the back so you can see the lace ribbon and how I just tied a knot. Scroll down fuller to see the instructions.

So you are going to start by taking out your Scallop Circle #2 Big Shot die, using Pool party cardstock cut out the scallop.
Next get a 2 1/2' circle punch and punch out a piece of Pool Party cardstock. Set both aside.
Take out your Finial Press Embossing Folder ( you can use which ever one you want of course!) now run both the scallop and circle through the folder.
Take your Tombow adhesive and glue the circle to the top of the container and the scallop to the bottom.
I then added the pearl on top just like Jennifer's and tied the Victoira 5/8' ribbon around the brim and added the Vintage Trinkets safety pin through the knot. To make the flower I punch from the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Punch the third flower. I punched four of them and added a brad to hold them together. To scrunch the flower up you spritz the flower with water, let sit for 30 seconds then scrunch with your fingers. Add the leaves by punching out leaves from the Bird builder punch in Certainly Celery, add to the brim of the hat first then the flower then a few small pearls. Wah la! Next time I will do a video! Hope you have as much fun making these as I did! And thank you Jennifer Murai for sharing them!

The card is made with the Early Espresso cardstock, the Beau Chateau Side Notes, the antquie brads, the new Lace Ribbon Border punch, that I laced the Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon through.

Hello Stampers! It's more of the Side notes! I am telling you, you are going to love these. Very simple to use,
I have just stamped the leaves from the Best Friends forever stamp set in Pink Piroutee on Pink Pirouette cardstock added Crub Cake seamin binding ribbon and then added the Je T"aime side note to the top with dimentionals. Then took the Nature walk set and stamped the bees on very vanilla cardstock, cut them out and atached them. Used a Vintage Trinket safety pin with the small tag punch sayings.

Our Designer Series papers are absolutely beautiful and use our palette of colors and original images. This new Beau Chateau paper is my favorite! Below I have made a super easy card for you to follow with the new paper and some simple accessories to add. Here is the card I have made, it's fun and easy. Just take a 5 1/2 x/4 1/4 sheet of whisper white cardstock, fold in half.
now tear a piece of the Beau Chateau cardstock in three different patterns. They should be at least 3 1/2 inches long. Once you have them torn arrange them on the card and attach with adhesive. Now, rough up the edges just slightly with your fingers. Now take a salutation, I have used the new Hostess set called "Perfect Words", stamp the image on whisper white cardstock and then tear out to fit on card. Attach to the card with brads, I used the Glimmer Brads in the Subtles collection # 121004. And that was it! Isn't it just a beaut! I love it's simplicity, let me know what you think!

My 3D Swap for Convention

I have so many more pictures to share from convention, I thought I would post my swap that I traded with other demonstrators for you to see.
This is a flower pin that I have attached to my business card. To make it you do need the Big Shot.   The flower is made with the Fun Flower
Die, once you cut it out you take a sponge dauber and add ink to the edges of the flower. I have used Pink Pirouette cardstock and Melon Mambo ink around the edges of the flower.  I only used the three larges flower pieces to the die, so once you have punched out the flower take the three large
flower pieces and punch a hole in the center and add a brad, I have used the Antique Brads. Now take a spritz water bottle and squirt both sides of
the flower and put in your hand and squish the flower all up.   Now open it and push each flower petal in towards the brad and let dry. It will dry very hard paper. Once dry I added dazzling diamonds glitter with the two way glue pen.   They are sooo beautiful and very easy to make I promise you!

Hello all! Day 2 here! We are a bit pooped but having a blast! Stampin Up! has been spoiling us rotten this year! many fun suprises and freebies- Stampin Up! style! Here's our opening ceremonies this morning, the theme is "GROW", beautiful set.

After opening ceremonies, our group "GoDivas" got together for some serious swapping and a group photo.

Thank you Robin Merriman for putting this all together for us all!

Tonight was Award Night, after seeing all the Demonstrators get awards they had a fun dessert/dancing party for us!

We danced all night long! Did not stop seriously! Had so much fun!

I am getting ready like crazy for Convention! I almost have my swaps completed and leave at oh dark hour tomorrow morning to get to Salt Lake City. Cannot wait for all the excitement! I am in an increidable stamping group called the GoDiva's, and we do swap with every new mini catalog or in this case the new catalog. Here are a few of the swaps from the talented group. The stamp set used on these samples is called Best of Everything. I will be posting daily pictures for you from the Salt Palace so you can see how much fun we have!
