Ribbon Rosette Video

Here is the Rosette video as I promied!   have fun trying to make them!

Ronald McDonald House Visit

We had our monthly visit to Ronald McDonald house this past week.  It's been a joy being able to bring my Daughter Shelby this year.  You have to be 17 yrs or older to serve there, so it's been great to see her there helping others.  We always take a few projects to make with the kids.  I wanted to share with you one of them that we took this past week.  We have these new sticky rounds in the Stampin Up! holiday catalog that are soooo easy to use Ladies,  how easy? so easy that the 3 year olds on up AMAZED us!  Shelby thought that there was no way the kids would be able to make these bracelets and I tell you, they did!  and by themselves!  Here's a few pics of Shelby hamming it up, below are the pics of the bracelets.

I found the fabric covered bracelets at a local wholesale store, they were 12 for $1.50!  I used the retired red  grosgrain ribbon and the big red retired buttons, the leaves are old olive hand cut cardstock.  Since we cannot use glue guns there we used large glue dots but I would suggest using a glue gun to adhere.   Aren't they cute!  The kids AND adults LOVED them.  So much that the Adults had to make them too!

Sticky Rounds #127853 12 for $4.95

I will post the video tomorrow on how to make them!

Halloween Chandelier

Fun find last thursday,  I found this Halloween chandelier at Ross Dress for Less of all places!  normally you won't find something like this there especially for a low price of $24.99!  This is a large chandlier, as you can see where the flameless candles are they are spiders!  and then those hanging beads.... love them!  I will offically put it up and decorate it in the next few weeks.

We had a busy weekend going into Seattle to Magnolia where I grew up for an  annual  Parkinson's Auction  that my  family helps with every year.  My Hubs and I were a bit early so I decided to take him to see the West Point Lighthouse which is in Discovery Park where we needed to be for the auction.  It was the perfect lighting for pictures, just as the sun  was beginning to go down..  I love this beach and the lighthouse.

In-Color Class with Dahlia Buttons

I'm a bit late posting today,  it was a fun weekend!  Very busy with different things,  I will post some pics tomorrow.  Here are the samples from my In-Color class on friday.  I LOVED meeting new guests!  I had new stampers  Nadene and Gail come for the class, it was soooo fun meeting you Ladies!  also,  had some returning stampers that I haven't seen for a while, Kim and Lezlie. Such a great morning spent with wonderful people.  And of course my steadfast stampers that I can always count on  being in  my classes,  love you gals too!   I have to admit, that my cards were ideas that came from swaps from convention, or directly from the catty!  But they were such great cards we had to try them!  The above sample is a coupon/note holder.  I incorporated the new in-color Dahlia buttons with the cards.  Each guest got a package of them at there stampin spot and took the remainder home.

Next Class is POWER HOUR thrusday September 27th at 9 am to 10 am
come and make 4 cards for $10.00 or FREE with a $25.00 order -  STILL ROOM!

I was out running errands yesterday and ran into this really cool vintage store.  I thought it was new but upon speaking to the owner she said it opened in 1989!  Where have I been!  It is in the Crossroads area, which I am always going to, I just happened to leave on the back side of the mall and found it!.  Here are some pictures of the vintage things they offer. I was really impressed with the fact that the prices were quite reasonable for a boutique style shop....  lots of Halloween goodies too!

Common Folk Co. is the name of the store
